1. About NovaDuel

NovaDuel — Neon 1v1 is a local 1v1 duel game playable against an AI opponent or a second player on the same device. It is provided completely free of charge, with no account required, purely for personal entertainment.

There are no purchases, no in-app payments, no loot boxes, no virtual currencies redeemable for real-world value, and no gambling mechanics of any kind. Every score and achievement is virtual and has zero monetary value.

2. Acceptance

By accessing or playing NovaDuel, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use in full. If you disagree with any provision, please discontinue use immediately. No account creation is required, so accessing the game constitutes your acceptance of these terms.

3. Free Game — No Monetary Transactions

We want to be unambiguous: this game contains no mechanism for spending money, directly or indirectly:

No purchase flow — no checkout, cart, payment screen, or subscription form
No virtual economy — no coins, gems, tokens, or currencies of any kind
No randomised rewards — no loot boxes, gacha pulls, or chance-based items
No premium tiers — all features are available to all users at all times
No prize competitions — no sweepstakes, skill-prize games, or monetary leaderboards
No real-money trading — game progress and scores cannot be bought, sold, or transferred

4. Permitted Use

You are granted a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to play NovaDuel for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes only. This licence does not permit you to:

Use bots, scripts, macros, or automation tools to manipulate scores or gameplay
Decompile, reverse-engineer, or extract source code for commercial redistribution or resale
Host, mirror, or republish the game on other platforms or services without our written permission
Use the game in any manner that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to our hosting infrastructure
Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices

5. Intellectual Property

All original game design, source code, visual assets, audio (if any), and branding associated with NovaDuel are the exclusive property of the NovaDuel team and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Emoji characters are the property of their respective platform owners (Apple, Google, Microsoft, etc.) and are used under standard platform licences. The Google Fonts typefaces (Orbitron, Rajdhani) are used under the SIL Open Font Licence.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

NovaDuel is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We specifically disclaim any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the game will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with your device, or that any particular score will be preserved.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the NovaDuel team, its developers, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the game, including but not limited to loss of locally stored scores, device malfunction, or data loss. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the game shall not exceed zero dollars (US$0.00), as the game is provided entirely free of charge.

Local Multiplayer Responsibility

NovaDuel's two-player mode is designed for players sharing the same physical device. By using two-player mode, both players agree to these terms. We are not responsible for disputes between players arising from game outcomes. The AI opponent difficulty is provided as-is and may not be perfectly balanced at all difficulty levels.

9. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. We collect no personal data. Please read our Privacy Policy for a full explanation of our data practices.

10. Service Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, update, or permanently discontinue the game or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We may change game mechanics, scoring systems, visual design, or difficulty parameters at our discretion. We have no obligation to maintain backward compatibility with prior versions or to preserve any particular game state.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by updating this page and changing the effective date. Your continued use of the game after any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the game creator is established. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction, unless mandatory applicable consumer protection law in your country provides otherwise. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under mandatory applicable local law.
